Hi, I'm Michelle, and welcome to The Warning Chapter. I am a single mom two 2 adult children, one of whom is disabled. We all live in Tennessee, and that's where I run this business from. By day I am a Cheese Master, cutting all the lovely, fancy cheeses. By night I am a Mom and a small business owner who loves making spooky and gothic designs for people. I know I tend to use more color than most people think of when they envision 'gothic', but I feel it's important to do because everyone needs a little color in their life even if its just black, purple, blood red, and antique ivory, just...not beige. (lol) 

I started this shop initially as a way to get my anger at the state of the world out and off my chest (I know, surprised that a goth was angry, right? lol)  Somewhere along the line, I got tired of yelling about all of the things and started designing things I wish other people had designed for dark, moody, and gothic lovers like myself. As someone who grew up when this aesthetic was far less accepted, I love seeing these items come to life. Many of my designs begin with commercially licensed design assets created by independent artists. I combine, customize, and build upon those elements to create original pieces for The Warning Chapter. I love supporting other small creators whenever I can, and buying commercial licenses from fellow independent artists feels like the right way to do business.

I love old books, dark florals, Poisoned Apple reds, and the kind of gothic style that feels elegant enough to wear on a Tuesday instead of only at Halloween. My hope isn't just that you buy something. It's that you smile when you open the package, wear it with confidence, and have a really good time making it part of your own story.
